The HXRS means a Hard X-Ray Spectrometer, i.e. an instrument which was monitoring solar X-ray
flux in eight energy bands between 10 and 200 keV. The instrument was controlled by an onboard
computer and provided automatic band division shifting and integration time changing according
to the intensity level of X-ray flux.
There were two interesting features of the flight software which we would like to emphasize:
the optimized routine for counting X-ray photon events in energy bands and the time-efficient inflight calibration algorithm. Brief description of the HXRS ground-based data processing SW will be presented as well.
