Envisaging SphinX: forward modeling of X-ray spectra

Based on the expected temperature and emission measure for given solar activity level we calculated the corresponding fluxes and spectra which should be observed by SphinX. In the calculations we have taken into account all proposed filters and detector transmissions as well as detector efficiency. The results are used to estimate the optimal entrance apertures to keep the fluxes below ~50 000 c/s for all possible levels of flare activity.
