General information
The workshop will take place in Wrocław in the second week of December 2008. The workshop will take place at the lecture room of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Wroclaw Division, Podwale 75 street, located in the centre of the city.
This Workshop will be devoted to present/discuss the following issues:
- Status of the Coronas-Photon Mission days before the launch
- Construction of individual instruments aboard, in particular the TESIS
and SphinX in the "flight" completion
- results of the ground pre-flight calibrations - Planned instrument in-orbit activation and envisaged regular operational modes
- Science to be done with special interest focused in
- detecting non-thermal, non-equilibrium plasma states
- coronal heating mechanisms
- determination of plasma composition - Division & assignment of telemetry to individual operation modes and science tasks
- Ground software development for data reduction and interpretation including the CHIANTI atomic code uses
- Cooperation with other groups observing the Sun in XUV to gamma range including the ground radio- and visible observatories (RHESSI, Messenger, STEREO, Hinode, HXT)
- Presentation of new analysis results from previous related experiments (SPIRIT, RESIK and the other instruments aboard Coronas-F, RHESSI, Hinode)
The official language for this conference will be English.

Participants will be accommodated in the Academy hotel and Hotel Jana Pawła II. These hotels are located in the city centre. The accommodation will be booked via the LOC of the Workshop (see the table below).
